The history behind the opportunity

The Ditto Trade Story

Valuable technology.
A real path forward.

BlockCopy is acquiring Ditto Trade’s pioneering patent portfolio and software. The acquisition received federal court approval on September 8, 2026.

When you build something valuable,
sometimes others want to take it from you.

Brothers Joseph and Avi Fox began building Ditto Trade in 2009 and launched its pioneering technology in October 2010. In September of 2013, while the Company was valued at $40-$60 million, a major destabilizing event occurred. It took two years to win the battle, but with only 3 months of runway remaining, this copy-trading pioneer ran out of capital in December 2015.

The technology survived. The Company’s closure did not stop the Fox brothers from continuing to pursue value for the 230 shareholders who had backed it. Five U.S. patents issued since 2017, the source code rewritten and fully modernized in 2026, and years of preservation work led to the court-approved BlockCopy transaction.

BlockCopy is a separate company with its own commercial mission. We believe the combination of a massive global market and Ditto Trade’s technology—more relevant today than ever—creates an extraordinary opportunity.
